The credit we provide is offered by a third party lender. In order to provide you with a decision we will need to obtain certain personal information on behalf of, and for use by, the lender, this information which may be stored in their computer records/filing system. The lender shall search Land Registry records and the files of one or more credit reference agencies. The credit reference agencies will add to your file, details of this search and your application and this will be seen by other search organisations.

The lender uses a credit scoring or other automated decision making system together with credit reference agency searches when assessing your application and will make use of information relating to you and to individuals linked to you by a financial association. If you are resident in the UK Land Registry records may also be searched and it is important that you give us accurate information.

The lender will check your details and those of your financial associates with fraud prevention agencies. If false or inaccurate information is provided and fraud is identified, details will be passed to fraud prevention agencies. Law enforcement agencies may access and use this information. The lender and other organisations may access and use from other countries the information recorded by fraud prevention agencies. The lender and other organisations may also access and use this information to prevent fraud and money laundering, for example, when checking details on applications for credit and credit related or other facilities; managing credit and credit related accounts or facilities, recovering debt. Checking details on proposals and claims for all types of insurance; checking details of job applicants and employees.
